I’m Shawn Tamasaka, Life Coach* for Live Immortal® located in Eugene, Oregon. 

During the pandemic my company had to go through a major change as the business was losing money as an apparel company. I did analysis and asked the question, what business is Live Immortal in? Even after asking the question, the answer wasn't obvious.

I reached out to my trusted business sources—more minds combined will help to resolve an issue faster—, that helped me answer the question, what business is Live Immortal in? One of those minds I tapped was my daughter, who works for the military. I explained to her my dilemma. I started Live Immortal as an apparel company and believed in the theme, “how we live our lives today will determine how we are immortalized by impacting others.” After sharing my thoughts, my source mentioned, “dad, you should be a life coach.” The light bulb went on! That was it! 

In the past, I volunteered at Food for Lane County, Disciples of Dirt, and We Go Ride. Searching for purpose. Not realizing my life had set the course to be a life coach.

When I attended BYU-Hawaii, I was elected Phi Beta Lamda (national business fraternity) chapter president and state president. In the chapter, I networked to get my members, in their senior year, job interviews. 

I held leadership positions in church, and through those experiences I was able to develop my approach to coaching others who needed help.

I was part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), Oregon Troop 381 leaders who helped eight out of seven scouts achieve Eagle Scout, the highest award in the BSA. I am still in touch with many of those wonderful young men whom I have coached along the way. One of those young man is Berenger C. This is what he had to say when I told him I’m a life coach.
